My first croc-in-the-wild sighting since I was a child . . . I was intrigued to discover that my chiildhood fear has not seemed to dissipate with age, as my heartbeat quickened noticeably and I drew a sharp, quick breath when I saw this one :-)

Having never been to Africa it's hard for us to imagine suddenly coming upon a crocodile or some of the other wild animals. It all seems very exciting from this side of the world!
